In accordance with this Privacy Policy, personal data is defined as any information pertaining to an identified or identifiable natural person. An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, by means of an identifier such as a name, identification number, location data, online identifier, or other factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity of the individual. Hapttic processes the following types of Personal Data for specific purposes:

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

To make Hapttic work efficiently and provide a better user experience, we use cookies and similar technologies.

Cookies help us:

  • remember user preferences,
  • improve platform performance,
  • understand how users navigate our site (analytics),
  • ensure platform security.

When you enter our platform, a cookie consent banner will appear.

From the banner, you can choose which types of cookies you allow (e.g., essential, analytics, performance). You can update or withdraw your consent at any time from our Cookie Settings menu or through your browser preferences.

You can also disable or delete cookies in your browser, but doing so may affect certain platform functionalities.

To understand how users interact with our website and improve platform performance, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4). GA4 provides anonymized insights into user behavior, session activity, device information, and traffic sources. Learn more about how GA4 collects and processes data here.

For marketing and audience-building purposes, we may use technologies provided by: Meta, Google Ads, Mailchimp

These platforms help us measure campaign effectiveness, create audiences, and deliver more relevant content or advertisements. They track user interactions on our website (such as visited pages, form submissions, or clicks) based on consent.

Learn more about how these platforms process data here:

All tracking is activated only after consent is given through our cookie banner, and users can withdraw or update their preferences at any time.

Email Subscriptions (Newsletter & Marketing Emails)

If you subscribe to receive email updates (such as product news or marketing content) or submit the "contact us" form, we collect only the information necessary to deliver these communications - usually your email address and full name.

We may occasionally send you promotional or informational emails. You have the option to unsubscribe from these types of communications by following the instructions provided in the email. However, please note that if you choose to opt-out of receiving emails regarding recommendations or other information we believe may be of interest to you, we may still need to send you emails regarding your account or any services you have requested or received from us.

We analyze email engagement (e.g., email open rates, link clicks) to improve our communication relevance.

Hapttic Account Data

If you create a Hapttic account, we collect basic information such as:

  • full name,
  • email address,
  • mobile number,
  • password,
  • country,
  • company/organization details (if applicable).

This data is used strictly to:

  • provide access to the platform,
  • operate your workspace,
  • deliver support.

The submitted data should not include any sensitive personal data, such as government identifiers (i.e. social security, driver's license), medical records, or information related to private individuals' applications for care or treatment. You can deactivate your account at any moment. After deactivation, non-necessary data will be removed within the legally required timeframe.

Data Retention

We will store usage data until an individual withdraws their consent for us to do so. All other data, as specified earlier, will be retained for as long as it is necessary for the purpose(s) for which it was originally collected. We may also retain information as required by law. It is our company policy to retain information pertaining to your use of our Services for as long as is necessary to provide the Services to you. This information may include data provided by you or by others, as well as data generated or inferred from your use of the Services. Upon the expiration of your Service Agreement with us, your account and any related data, excluding anonymized data, will be deleted as soon as possible, but in any event no later than six months after the expiration of the Subscription or an Agreement. In regard to our Site, we retain your information for as long as we have a legitimate business interest in processing it or as long as you have not withdrawn your consent. This information may include data provided by you or by others, as well as data generated or inferred from your use of the Site. We currently store user data, such as user IDs and access tokens, in a secure and encrypted format. It is important to note that we do not store content directly, but instead links to the content as provided by the external API's. These links are subsequently deleted after 30 days.

Third-Party APIs & Social Platforms

Hapttic uses a select number of trusted external service providers for certain technical data analysis, processing, and/or storage offerings. These service providers are carefully selected and meet high standards for data protection and security. We only share information with them that is necessary for the services they provide and we contractually bind them to keep any information we share with them confidential and to only process Personal Data in accordance with our instructions. We will only disclose an individual's data to third parties without their express consent if we are legally obligated to do so by statutory law or by an instruction from a public authority or court, as outlined in our Terms of Service. Also, we use the third-party API services from which the Software may retrieve information. In particular, we use YouTube API Services (https://www.youtube.com/static) (i.e. data from YouTube) governed by Google privacy policy available via http://www.google.com/policies/privacy, and other third-party API services. If you gave us access to your YouTube account, you have a right to revoke such access via the Google security settings page at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.

When you enable a feature (e.g., Inbox Analysis) and connect your Meta or other accounts, Hapttic only collects page or channel-related data, such as:

  • messages sent to your connected business inbox,
  • engagement metrics per post,
  • mentions, comments, or analytics on that account.

We do not access personal messages from personal profiles and personal or private account information.

You may revoke access at any time directly from the platform where the integration was created (e.g., Meta Business Settings, Google Account Permissions).

Where an individual has provided consent, they may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing that was carried out prior to withdrawing it. Whenever consent is withdrawn, the individual acknowledges and accepts that this may have a negative influence on the quality of the Company's platform and/or services. Hapttic shall not be held liable for any loss and/or damage to an individual's Personal Data if they choose to withdraw consent. Where Personal Data is processed for the above purposes on the basis of the Company's legitimate interests, under the GDPR & CCPA, an individual may object to such processing at any time by contacting support@hapttic.com.

In the rare case that a loss incurred is due to the Company's fault or gross negligence, compensation may be sought within the limit of liability outlined in our Terms of Service.

It should be noted that any user, customer, or hacker who discovers and takes advantage of a security breach may be subject to criminal prosecution and Hapttic will take all necessary measures, including filing a complaint and/or legal action, to preserve the data and rights of its users and itself and to limit the impact.
